About meNini Jesus A line in the song Thank you for the music goes, 'she said I began to sing long before I could talk' and that probably describes me best. I've been singing ever since I can remember, probably because I come from a musical family. Both my grandfathers were church organists and both my parents sang in the choir. I became a Christian and ministered with the Gospel Youth Singers for years doing annual musicals and touring wherever we were invited. I found music was a powerful tool that could be used to bring people closer to God whether they were believers or not.My earlier influences included Andrae Crouch, Amy Grant, Twila Paris and Evie. At present my favourite genre is praise and worship, though my style doesn't reflect this. In 'real life', I am a nurse and in the past have been a teacher and worked with Youth for Christ. I consider myself to be a 'work in progress' which won't be finished till he calls. My music I'd previously written the odd song. I'm the kind of person that always has a tune in their head. A couple of years ago, following an altar call in one of our services, I found myself writing on a regular basis. I fially decided this year to share some of them, as they were ideas, thoughts, whispers and inspirations that had spoken to me at some point of the love of God and my hope in Christ, and my prayer is that they will do the same for someone else.
